My approach to hoof care is guided by the horse first. Every horse tells us exactly how they feel in their feet – Our job is to listen. A trim or shoeing choice isn’t “right” unless the horse moves comfortably afterward. I focus on thoughtful, horse- specific decisions rather than cookie- cutter methods or pretty pictures. The horse is never wrong. Comfort, confidence in movement, and long-term soundness will always lead the work I do.
